(Karachi – April 24, 2024): Addressing the Eid Milan event of the Voice for Humanity International, in Karachi via Video Link, Chairman Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami conveyed his Eid greetings to the attendees and the members of the Voice for Humanity International. This Eid Milan party was organized to honor the nobility of the city and the members of those organizations who strive day and night to solve the problems of those Pakistanis who have arrived from East Pakistan / Bangladesh and settled in Pakistan. The President of Pakistan Chapter of FOH Mr. Hamid Islam, the Director Mr. Khalid Pervez, Dr. Obaid Ali, Mr. Akbar Ali, and Social Worker Mr. Qaiser Jameel Advocate also addressed the meeting. Syed Aon Ahmed Nizami recited verses from the Holy Qur’an and rendered its translation. The President of the Voice for Humanity International, Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami addressed the gathering via Video Link from Chicago, USA, and conveyed Eid greetings to all the well-wishers of the organization. He said, “Allah has given the Muslim Ummah two religious festivals, which they celebrate with fervor and enthusiasm. But on these happy occasions, we should remember those oppressed people who were martyred in 1971 massacre, and those who are still stranded in several camps of Bangladesh. On these occasions we should not forget those who, even after 52 years, are paying for their patriotism in different camps of Bangladesh.” Ehtisham Arshad Nizami reminded the attendees: “You have a good life over here and you celebrate Eid and other festivities but think of the pain of those stranded Pakistanis who, for the past half a century, yearn for a morsel of bread.”

He repeated that his organization does not provide aid to the affected people, but its prime job is to bring the facts to the world’s notice, that in 1971 there was a mass killing of non-Bengalis, but India and Bangladesh have labeled this as a genocide of Bengalis and Hindus, which is a blatant lie. In fact, the non-Bengalis were massacred, but this is not told even in Pakistan. The second point of the Voice for Humanity International is to inform the world that non-Bengali survivors of the 1971 massacre are still living in various camps of Bangladesh, their properties have been snatched from them and given to the Bangladesh freedom fighters. It is obligatory on the part of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and international organizations to take serious measures to resolve this humanitarian catastrophe. In this regard our organization is contacting not only the governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh but the United Nations as well. Ehtisham Nizami appealed to the people to tell their young generations as to who were killed in East Pakistan in 1971 and who are the people still confined in the Camps of Bangladesh, paying for their patriotism.

Addressing the gathering, the President of the Pakistan Chapter of Voice for Humanity, Mr. Hamid Islam Khan said that those young students, who launched a movement for the oppressed people of East Pakistan/Bangladesh, are still working hard for those people despite living in different parts of the world. He told the attendees that we have not let the flame of humanity die down, which was kindled by Dr. Laeeque Azam, Ehtisham Arshad Nizami, Syed Ehsanul Haque, Mumtaz Alam and others.

Director Khalid Pervez said, “we are moving forward with our struggle under the leadership of Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami.” He also said that Voice for Humanity has nothing to do with politics. “We are working purely on humanitarian basis. This seminar was aimed to highlight the issue of Non Bengalis /Pakistanis stranded in Bangladesh Camps. National Anthem was played at the beginning followed by recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Nadeem Nezami.

The speakers on this occasion were Prof. Dr. Moonis Ahmar, former chairman, department of international relations, former dean, faculty of social sciences, University of Karachi, Mahmood Shaam, senior Pakistani journalist, poet, columnist, political analyst, author of more than 20 books. Ehtesham Arshad Nezami, US based freelance journalist, writer, columnist, political analyst, presenter social media live show “Hum aur Aap” and Chairman V4HI.

Dr. Moonis stated that around 300,000 patriotic Pakistanis are languishing in Bangladesh camps for over five decades and are forced to have a miserable life. For one reason or another Pakistan government is avoiding owning them and bring back to Pakistan. He pointed out that there could have been a ceasefire in the 1971 war but under a conspiracy the Pakistan Army was forced to surrender to the Indian army.

Expressing his views, Mahmood Shaam said that Pakistan can never be completed without the leftover Pakistanis in Bangladesh camps. We got to get rid of the fear which is preventing to bring them to Pakistan. If these forgotten people are brought back, they will play a vital role in reconstruction and prosperity of Pakistan.

Chairman V4HI, Ehtesham Arshad Nezami speaking at the occasion said that it is regrettable to ignore the facts of history, in fact the non Bengalis were subject to atrocities by Mukti Bahini elements, killings of non Bengalis happened in large scale. At places, the non Bengalis taking refuge in mosques were also not spared. The third generation of stranded Pakistanis living under miserable conditions in Bangladesh camps, has grown up now with still no hope for any betterment. It is Pakistan’s responsibility to address their issue and find a solution in consultation with the government of Bangladesh. Voice for Humanity International (V4HI) is committed to highlight the real facts of happenings in East Pakistan in 1971 and make awareness about the present condition of Stranded Pakistanis.

Books’ Appreciation Event In Toronto, Canada July 23, 2023

During the turmoil of 1971 in erstwhile East Pakistan, hundreds of thousands of non-Bengalis were massacred, said Azmat Ashraf and Jamil Usman.

The genocide of the non-Bengalis was purposely shrouded. Azmat Ashraf and Jamil Usman have performed a great job by authoring historic books – speeches by Ehtesham Arshad Nezami, Badar Munir, Azfar Shakil, and Obaida Iqbal.

Prominent poetess Zakia Ghazal recited a poem, commemorating the situation of non-Bengalis during and after the 1971 war.

Under the auspices of Voice for Humanity International, two books were honored and recognized. One was “Refugee” by Azmat Ashraf and the other “Jalawatan Kahaniyaan” (Stories in Exile) by Jamil Usman.

The eventwas attended by a large number of audiences from social and literary circles as well as ladies and gentlemen from all cadres of life.

Speaking to the Chairman of Voice for Humanity International and the host of live program “Hum Aur Aap,” Mr. Ehtesham Arshad Nizami, the author of Refugee Mr. Azmat Ashraf said that the reason he wrote his book was because the truth about the tragic events in East Pakistan were not brought to light by the Pakistani authorities for a long time.

During this tragedy seven members of his family were murdered in cold blood. The massacre of the non-Bengalis had begun long before the army operation started in East Pakistan. Replying to a question by Ehtesham Arshad Nezami, the author of Jalawatan Kahaniyaan Jamil Usman said that he has written eleven true stories in his book.

These stories also mention the kind hearted and compassionate Bengalis who did not side with the killers but saved the innocent non-Bengalis. He said that he has mentioned the killings of the non-Bengalis in his book because the Pakistani and Bangladeshi historians have totally neglected the truth.

Speaking about the book “Refugee,” prominent journalist and anchor person Mr. Badar Munir Chaudhry said that Refugee is a book that informs the world that there was a massive killing of non-Bengalis in East Pakistan Bangladesh in 1971, but the world does not know about it. Mr. Obaida Iqbal, speaking about Jalawatan Kahaniyaan, said that you would not be able to hold your tears if you read this book. These are true stories and Jamil Usman is commendable for writing them.

Voice for Humanity International Chairman Mr. Ehtesham Arshad Nezami said that both the books are historic. The world should know that the Mukti Bahini had started murdering the non-Bengalis well before the action by the Pakistani troops. Well known and internationally popular Pakistani poetess Zakia Ghazal made aspecial appearance and recited her pivotal poem titled, “Ummeed” (Hope) based on the pathetic condition of the Pakistanis stranded in the Bangladeshi camps.

The poem was overwhelmingly liked by the audience. Earlier the general secretary of Voice for Humanity Mr. Azfar Shakil welcomed the attendees and said that the purpose of his organization is to bring the facts to limelight about who were massacred in East Pakistan in 1971 and what the non-Bengalis went through after the fall of Dhaka. Those people are still languishing in squalid camps
after they were expelled from their houses.

Voice for Humanity Vice Chairman Mr. Ehsan-ul-Haque thanked the guests. Hafiz Zuhair Shahid had started the event with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Mr. Farrukh Nezami and Mr. Rizwan Anwar worked tirelessly to make the event a success. About 200 people, including theyoung  generation, participated.
