(Karachi – April 24, 2024): Addressing the Eid Milan event of the Voice for Humanity International, in Karachi via Video Link, Chairman Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami conveyed his Eid greetings to the attendees and the members of the Voice for Humanity International. This Eid Milan party was organized to honor the nobility of the city and the members of those organizations who strive day and night to solve the problems of those Pakistanis who have arrived from East Pakistan / Bangladesh and settled in Pakistan. The President of Pakistan Chapter of FOH Mr. Hamid Islam, the Director Mr. Khalid Pervez, Dr. Obaid Ali, Mr. Akbar Ali, and Social Worker Mr. Qaiser Jameel Advocate also addressed the meeting. Syed Aon Ahmed Nizami recited verses from the Holy Qur’an and rendered its translation. The President of the Voice for Humanity International, Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami addressed the gathering via Video Link from Chicago, USA, and conveyed Eid greetings to all the well-wishers of the organization. He said, “Allah has given the Muslim Ummah two religious festivals, which they celebrate with fervor and enthusiasm. But on these happy occasions, we should remember those oppressed people who were martyred in 1971 massacre, and those who are still stranded in several camps of Bangladesh. On these occasions we should not forget those who, even after 52 years, are paying for their patriotism in different camps of Bangladesh.” Ehtisham Arshad Nizami reminded the attendees: “You have a good life over here and you celebrate Eid and other festivities but think of the pain of those stranded Pakistanis who, for the past half a century, yearn for a morsel of bread.”

He repeated that his organization does not provide aid to the affected people, but its prime job is to bring the facts to the world’s notice, that in 1971 there was a mass killing of non-Bengalis, but India and Bangladesh have labeled this as a genocide of Bengalis and Hindus, which is a blatant lie. In fact, the non-Bengalis were massacred, but this is not told even in Pakistan. The second point of the Voice for Humanity International is to inform the world that non-Bengali survivors of the 1971 massacre are still living in various camps of Bangladesh, their properties have been snatched from them and given to the Bangladesh freedom fighters. It is obligatory on the part of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and international organizations to take serious measures to resolve this humanitarian catastrophe. In this regard our organization is contacting not only the governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh but the United Nations as well. Ehtisham Nizami appealed to the people to tell their young generations as to who were killed in East Pakistan in 1971 and who are the people still confined in the Camps of Bangladesh, paying for their patriotism.

Addressing the gathering, the President of the Pakistan Chapter of Voice for Humanity, Mr. Hamid Islam Khan said that those young students, who launched a movement for the oppressed people of East Pakistan/Bangladesh, are still working hard for those people despite living in different parts of the world. Under the auspices of the Voice for Humanity, this caravan is moving forward. He told the attendees that we have not let the flame of humanity die down, which was kindled by Dr. Laeeque Azam, Ehtisham Arshad Nizami, Syed Ehsanul Haque, Mumtaz Alam and others.

Director Khalid Pervez said, “we are moving forward with our struggle under the leadership of Mr. Ehtisham Arshad Nizami.” He also said that Voice for Humanity has nothing to do with politics. “We are working purely on humanitarian basis. Nevertheless, we remind the politicians of both the countries that the problem of the stranded Pakistanis should be solved as soon as possible.” He praised Friends of Humanity and OBAT Helpers, two American relief organizations, for their sterling efforts to help the stranded non-Bengalis of Bangladeshi camps. He mentioned that FPO and MWDM are also actively striving to help those people. He also thanked the local organizations of Karachi, which, under the leadership of Mr. Mumtaz Husain Ansari, Mr. Ashraf Iqbal Khan, Syed Tarique Shoaib, Mr. Shabbir Ahmed, Mr. Talha Alam, Mr. Hasan Raza, and Mr. Aftab Alam, are working hard, specially to resolve the issues related to the National Identity Card.
